What Our Clients Are Saying
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
It has been quite a journey!
After a lot (get it, “lot” ) of searching, we found this little piece of the Outer Banks on a cool November afternoon. With the ocean rumbling in the background, we both knew immediately—“This is it.” Then came the design, the plans, a few trips back to the drawing board, and our guiding philosophy: “go small and buy style.” And now…it’s finished! A huge thank you to Tab Winborne, Melanie Columbus, and the entire team who helped turn an empty lot and an idea into a place we absolutely love. We appreciate your patience, craftsmanship, advice, and all the work that went into making our vision a reality.

"We have worked with Tab Winborne for over 20 years now and have been consistently impressed. He performs quality work and is there to help you with issues over the years.
Not only does he provide excellent work during the workday but, should emergencies pop up after hours, he is also there. I have referred several friends to him who are similarly impressed and very happy with the work. We would not think of using another builder in the 4x4 area. "

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
A-plus, zero-stress experience from beginning to end. We chose Tab Winborne Corporation for a variety of reasons: wealth of experience building in Carova (which presents unique challenges), the owner's engineering background, and their craftsmanship. We made the right choice. The house turned out beautifully—exceeding our expectations, on schedule, completely within budget, and built to last—with no surprises along the way. We had the best team (Mike Nicholson was our project manager), and they worked to customize the house to fit our taste, with a number of artistic and structural design touches that give it real character. We are ecstatic with the outcome.
